I know this sort of thing does not only happen to me-but whenever I walk into a store and see an object that I really want, I pick it up. I look at it, and I say to myself, yea-this looks like something I would love to have in my home and keep for years. I start imagining where I am going to put it in my house and how nice it will look with all my other decor--until I flip the object upside down and see the label that says "made in china".

Sometimes, your heart sinks when you see that because it means that instead of being put together with love and quality, it was thrown together using an assembly line in some sweatshop most likely. When it comes to your kids, if you are looking for stores that carry toys for kids not made in China, then stay away from those huge conglomerate stores that rave about toys being inexpensive. Try smaller stores that I call "ma and pa shops". Those stores usually only carry authentic type toys. There are bigger stores that value their products enough to keep them away from an assembly line. You pay a little bit more for those toys, but the quality you would get is worth it.
